Children's Underground

Children’s Underground provides a safe space for children to enjoy hands-on activities and explore. 

Opened in 1996, this beloved space has welcomed generations of children. A kid-sized frontier town, blocks, puzzles, coloring pages, stuffed animals and puppets, and a train set enable children to use their imagination. A cozy reading nook, with books provided by generous donors, including the Lupine Society of Readers, offers a quiet space for kids to settle in with a good story. 

Children’s Underground is a great place for playdates as well. When you visit Children’s Underground, don’t forget to say hi to Tommy, our resident Eastern Chicken Turtle!
