Make the museum your classroom!
Monthly social studies lessons for homeschool students in 3rd-8th grade at the Yakima Valley Museum, January-May 2026.
The Yakima Valley Museum and the Lupine Society of Readers is pleased to offer monthly social studies lessons for homeschool students in 3rd-8th grade. Lessons are developed and taught by experienced educators and align with Washington State Standards. Students will enjoy a lesson with hands-on activities and will receive a guide with suggested museum exhibits and readings for further exploration. Lessons are offered every month on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10:30 to 11:45.
Attendance is $10 per student and includes museum admission. Free for members!

- January 14: Indigenous peoples and their cultures
- February 11: The Columbian Exchange
- March 11: Immigration
- April 8: Yakima Valley history
- May 13: History of conservation of our environment
