Field Trips
Whether you’re looking for a self-guided visit, guided tour, or themed programming, YVM is the ideal destination for a school field trip.

YVM offers field trips from Tuesday to Friday, 10:00am – 4:00pm. For all field trips, admission is $6 per student with a $25 minimum charge; teachers and chaperones attend for free.
Thanks to generous donors in our community, scholarships are available to offset admission costs for schools within ESD 105. To serve as many students as possible, scholarships can pay up to $300 for admissions and will be awarded to schools on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted. Reimbursement for transportation costs is also available; schools located within 20 miles of the museum may request up to $150, while schools located more than 20 miles from the museum can request up to $300.

Want to explore the museum at your own pace? YVM welcomes groups of all ages for self-guided tours. We can also provide your group with scavenger hunts or guides stationed in exhibits to answer questions.
Interested in a guided tour of the museum? We offer guided tours from Tuesday to Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm. Tours are led by knowledgeable guides and last approximately one hour.
Hoping to tie your museum visit with classroom learning? We offer more than 15 themed field trip programs. Each program includes a lesson filled with hands-on learning activities, followed by a guided tour of specific museum exhibits.
